Guide

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the Plerdy channel. My name is Marta, I am a Marketing Manager, and in this video, I will show you how to display a popup form when a user is leaving the page.

Before we start – make sure you subscribe to our channel and don’t miss new videos.

Unfortunately, cart abandonment is real, significant, and happens to every store regardless of its target industry.

Luckily, pop-ups are an effective way to prevent it.

Exit intent, one of the triggering options in pop-ups, allows you to detect when someone is about to abandon the site, then display a relevant message to stop them from leaving.

To set up such a pop-up, we will need to open the Form and Feedback tab, click Build new form and choose a form you would like to create.

Next, you have to open Display Rules – When to show. And here, you will see Page exit. Just switch it on and be ready! When you create the Exit intent pop-up, the rule “Smart Display timer” won’t work as they cannot overlap. Other rules can apply; however, they will be in priority if you add them, and it is better not to add them. If you will create a pop-up for exit intent, switch it on and leave the rest here. Although the rules regarding where to show traffic groups placement are okay to use, they can be added as well.

That’s all for now. Thanks for watching till the end, and see you in the next videos!

Take care, bye!
